Milestone Utility Services, a leader in technology solutions and services in the utility industry, is pleased to announce the selection of their Oracle C2M implementation services by Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC). Milestone will work with their longtime partner, RIA Advisory, to implement Oracle C2M and upgrade the existing Mobile Workforce Management Solution.
PWC has provided electric, water, and wastewater services to the citizens of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Cumberland County since 1905. They serve 79,600 electric, 85,000 water, 7,800 irrigation, and 84,000 wastewater customers. In July 2014, PWC went live with the Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) and Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) solutions, which completed Phase 2 of an Oracle Utilities Enterprise rollout. PWC’s Oracle Meter Data Management (MDM) system went live in October 2014. After conducting a detailed assessment in the fall of 2019 with Milestone, PWC chose to replace the current CC&B and MDM solutions with Oracle C2M rather than upgrade them.
PWC released an RFP on March 13, 2020, to solicit proposals for a fixed priced contract from qualified vendors to provide professional and technical services related to the implementation of Oracle’s Customer to Meter (C2M) CIS product using the Platform as a Service (PaaS) deployment model.
The project will begin in late July 2020 and is expected to complete in the summer of 2021.
